I’ve always struggled with how to describe myself to others, but here’s an honest try: My name is Tammy. I’m a Midwest girl living in the beautiful Northwest. My INFJ personality craves time outdoors, especially on the little lake across from our street. Some titles I’m most proud of are wife and mom, daughter and sister, cousin and friend. I am a sucker for inspiring stories, sweet tea, fresh journals, festive napkins and all things purple. The people that bring me the most joy in this world are pictured above.
Words have always been important to me. My dream for this little piece of the web is to be a conversation overflowing with words of gratefulness and generosity and goodness. A creative space to listen and learn from the perspectives of others. A place to better connect with myself and others.
On our living room wall hangs a sign created by a dear friend. It contains the Scripture recited at our wedding, a sort of mission statement for our life together. It reads, “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart” (Proverbs 3:3).
Love and loyalty to my family and my faith are the inspiration for this blog’s name, as well as the reason for my writing.
